Polarizability over dipolarity for the spectroscopic behavior of azobenzenes in room-temperature ionic liquids and organic solvents

The Catalán and Spange empirical solvent parameters scales were applied to the solvatochromism of azobenzene and para-monosubstitued derivatives in a series of solvents.
