Hairy cell leukemia‐variant without typical morphology and with near‐tetraploid DNA content

A 75-year-old male was referred to our medical center due to abdominal pain. Clinical record showed splenomegaly 4 years prior to his visit and a mild microcytic anemia during the last 2 years. Physical examination showed splenomegaly without lymphadenopathy.
