Abstract
A CO-regulated ion nanochannel is demonstrated, which is inspired by the living activity of CO-induced smooth muscle vasodilation. The mechanism relies on the fact that CO has a higher affinity with ferroporphyrin compared to carboxyl groups on the surface of the nanochannels.
