Abstract
This paper considers the closed-loop navigation of a hypothetical ocean-sampling vehicle in the presence of an idealized ocean-eddy pair. This problem embodies many of the challenges of spatiotemporal ocean sampling using minimally actuated Lagrangian sensors.
