Hierarchical Models of Topological Relations between Area Objects
Abstract
The criteria on the description and determination of topological relations are topological invariants. In order to set up hierarchical models of topological relations between area objects, an investigation is made on the interaction of two area objects, and it was found that the confusion of the topological relations under the 4-intersection-and-difference model is caused by the complexity of the contexts in the intersection of the boundaries....
