Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of burnet root tablets on the treatment of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome( AIDS) with leucocytopenia. Methods: Eighty- four cases of AIDS patients were randomly divided into two groups. 48 patients in experimental group were treated with highly active anti- retroviral therapy( HAART) plus burnet root tablets. 36 patients in control group were treated with HAART plus batilol and vitamin B4. The data of effective rate and peripheral blood leukocyte were analyzed retrospectively. Results: The effective rate of the experimental group( 87. 5%) is significantly higher than in the control group( 66. 7%). The level of peripheral blood leukocyte in the experimental group is significantly higher than that in the control group after 4 weeks,8 weeks. Conclusion: The treatment of diyushengbai tablets for AIDS with leukopenia is safe and effective.
