Ecological Observations on Acarine Associates (Acari) of Pakistan Mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae)
Abstract
Nine species of mites in the families Hydrodromidae, Pionidae, Arrenuridae, Homocaligidae, and Ascidae were found in association with 13 species (4 genera) of mosquitoes in Punjab Province, Pakistan. Hydrochoreutes sp., Annerossella sp. and Platyseius sp. mites are reported as mosquito associates for the 1st time.
