Abstract
The gene for peptidylarginine deiminase 4 (PADI4) has been found to be closely associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Peptidylarginine deiminase (PADI) catalyses the post-translational modification of peptidylarginine to citrulline, a reaction known as citrullination.
