A missense mutation in the transcription factor Foxo3a causes teratomas and oocyte abnormalities in mice

An N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea random mutation screen was used to identify recessive modifiers of gene silencing in the mouse using an epigenetically sensitive reporter transgene.
