Abstract
A new series of organotin(IV) complexes with purine bases theophylline (HL 1 ) and theobromine (L 2 ) of the types R 3 Sn(L 1 ), R 2 Sn(L 1 )Cl, R 3 Sn(L 2 )Cl, and R 2 Sn(L 2 )Cl 2 (R = C 6 H 5 CH 2 –; p -ClC 6 H 4 CH 2 –) have been synthesized in anhydrous THF.
