Abstract
The red algal unicell Rhodella cyanea (Rhodellophyceae) was reinvestigated. The cell ultrastructure is clearly dissimilar to that of the two other Rhodella species, R. maculata Evans and R. violacea (Kornmann) Wehrmeyer.
