Abstract
Larvae of the nudibranch Phestilla sibogae are induced to metamorphose by a factor from their adult prey, the coral Porites compressa. Levels of endogenous catecholamines increase 6 to 9 days after fertilization, when larvae become competent for metamorphosis.
