Abstract
Altogether 1178 men aged 55–74 were studied at 15‐year re‐examination of two rural cohorts of initially 1711 men from east and west Finland. At the start, 15 years ago, the mean BPs were 148/89 and 140/82 mmHg in the eastern and western populations, respectively.
