Treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis with cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy: State of the art and future developments

Peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) had long been regarded as a terminal disease, characterized by a very poor survival and worth treating with palliative therapy.
