Abstract
1. Lipid contents, lipid class compositions and their temporal variations were studied in the sea scallop Placopecten magellanicus (Gmelin) from Georges Bank. 2. Analyses of the major organs (digestive gland, gonad, adductor muscle, mantle, and gills) presented different and characteristic lipid profiles. 3.
