Abstract
null null Measurements were made of burning rates of hexadecane droplets 0.5 to 1 mm in diameter, suspended on quartz fibers in room-temperature air, at pressures from 1 to 0.1 atm. Correction factors for effects of natural convection and finite-rate gas-phase chemical kinetics are determined by least-square fitting of the burning-rate constant.
