Summary This study described the relation between the type and amount of dietary fat on the deposition of abdominal fat by broiler chickens. It was hypothesized that at higher fat intakes, the well‐known lowering effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids on the deposition of abdominal fat would be diminished.
