Abstract
Granules released by cytotoxic T cells (CTL), during recognition and killing of target cells, contain granule enzyme A. This serine protease has an esterase activity, which is easily measured using the substrate benzyloxycarbonyl-L-lysine thiobenzyl ester (BLT).
