Abstract
Measurements on the rate of growth of crystals of lysozyme chloride from saline solutions show that between 5 and 1% w/v lysozyme crystal growth is controlled by a surface nucleation process. Measurements of Schlichtkrull on insulin crystallisation are in agreement with this growth mechanism.
