Maplexins, new α-glucosidase inhibitors from red maple (Acer rubrum) stems

Thirteen gallic acid derivatives including five new gallotannins, named maplexins A-E, were isolated from red maple (Acer rubrum) stems. The compounds were identified by spectral analyses.
