Caspase Involvement in the Induction of Apoptosis by the Environmental Toxicants Tributyltin and Triphenyltin

Organotin compounds such as tributyltin (TBT) and triphenyltin (TPT) can kill target cells by triggering apoptosis. The mechanism by which these environmental toxicants activate the apoptotic program is currently unclear.
