Squeeze Films in Porous Metal Bearings

Squeeze films in an axially undefined porous journal bearing with a full film of lubricant are analyzed to determine their performance. The expressions for pressure distribution and load capacity are given in closed form. The time-height relation is obtained by numerical integration. The results are shown graphically.
