Diversity in the Canadian Forces: Lessons from Afghanistan

Based on anthropological fieldwork with an infantry unit of the Canadian Forces deployed to Afghanistan in 2006, this article argues that traditional measures of diversity are inadequate to represent diversity as it is experienced by the soldiers of the unit.
