Abstract
The Jiangnan orogenic belt in South China defines a subduction-collisional zone between the Yangtze and the Cathaysia blocks. The eastern part of this belt comprises the oceanic Huaiyu terrane, the northeast Jiangxi suture zone and the continental Jiuling terrane.
