Abstract
The in vivo interrelation between excitotoxicity and oxidative stress following cerebral ischemia in the cortex of anesthetized rats was investigated. Cerebral ischemia was induced by ligation of the bilateral common carotid arteries and the unilateral middle cerebral artery.
