Abstract
Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) coating treatment is applied to open celled aluminium foams with different structures, aiming to enhance the mechanical performance of the composite material. The mechanical properties of the coated foams produced are assessed experimentally, both in tension and compression.
