Abstract
The effects of dietary cholesterol and lecithin on the growth, survival and moulting frequency of juvenile freshwater prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) were examined using semi-purified diets in a laboratory recirculated water system.
Sixteen prawns per treatment, with an initial mean weight of 121±30 mg, were individually housed in nylon mesh pots in 36-l polyethylene tanks containing flowing freshwater at 28±1°C.
