Total and organic mercury in the pacific blue marlin

Muscle, liver, nerve tissue, and gonads of Pacific Blue Marlin were analyzed for total and organic mercury. The ratios of total to organic mercury in the tissues indicate a partial physiological control over the form in which the mercury exists in the marlin.
