Abstract
South polar skuas, SPS, (Catharacta maccormicki) and brown skuas, BS, (C. antarctica lonnbergi) are regarded as opportunistic predators. When breeding in sympatry, BS feed mainly on penguin eggs and chicks, while SPS forage almost exclusively at sea.
