Mycoplasma-Like Organisms in Clove Trees Affected by Sudden Death Disease in Zanzibar and Pemba
Abstract
Mycoplasma‐like organisms were seen in eight of twenty trees affected by sudden death disease from the islands of Zanzibar and Pemba. Vesicular bodies were also seen in the phloem of a further six affected trees but did not possess all the characteristics of mycoplasma‐like organisms.
