Abstract
A simple way to form an interpenetrating hydrogel (IPH) by combining a layer‐by‐layer polyelectrolyte membrane with agarose is reported. The formed IPH membrane is more robust and easily manipulated compared to a polyelectrolyte membrane with the same number of layers.
