Abstract
We have studied the biodiversity of trypanosomes from birds and bloodsucking Diptera on a large number of isolates. We used two molecular approaches, random amplification of polymorphic DNA (RAPD) method, and sequence analysis of the small subunit ribosomal RNA (SSU rRNA) gene.
