Abstract
The attachment and metamorphic responses of veliger larvae of the abalone, Haliotis diversicolor (Reeve) to potassium chloride (KCl), gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and natural cues were determined. Attachment and metamorphosis of H. diversicolor were two distinctly different responses.
