Abstract
Lactoferrin (LF) is an iron-binding glycoprotein that possesses multifunctional biological activities. Recent reports from clinical trials suggest that LF is potentially effective as a therapeutic protein against cancer and gangrene. However, pharmaceutical proteins such as LF are unstable in vivo.
