A thin film approach to protein crystallography

A novel approach for the investigation of proteins or macromolecules is outlined in this conceptual study. The preparation of grapho-epitaxial layers on nanotemplated substrates is proposed as an alternative to the preparation of single crystals by vapour diffusion techniques.
