The endoplasmic reticulum-localized non-receptor protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) is associated with oncogenic, metabolic, and cytokine-related signaling and functionally targets multiple receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) for dephosphorylation.
