Abstract
We propose the so-called “almost perfect auto-correlation sequences” as ideal spreading codes for binary phase-modulated continuous wave radar systems. After appropriate processing, these codes exhibit a perfect auto-correlation profile with zero sidelobes. This property can be exploited to build extremely high-dynamic range radar systems.
