Recombinant glycoprotein-deficient lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus-based vaccine vectors (rLCMV/ΔGP) are potent CD8 + T cell inducers. To investigate the underlying molecular requirements, we generated a nucleoprotein-deficient vector counterpart (rLCMV/ΔNP).
