Abstract
. 1. The endangered butterfly Phengaris alcon exists in two ecotypes ( P. ‘alcon’ and P. ‘rebeli’ ), which inhabit contrasting biotopes (wet and warm/dry grasslands respectively) and use different larval food plants.
