Abstract
Background A reduction in salt intake lowers blood pressure (BP) and, thereby, reduces cardiovascular risk. A recent meta‐analysis by Graudal implied that salt reduction had adverse effects on hormones and lipids which might mitigate any benefit that occurs with BP reduction.
