Abstract The activity and stability of silica supported monometallic Ni, Rh and bimetallic Ni–Rh catalysts have been studied towards the carbon dioxide reforming of methane. Abstract Polyethersulfone ultrafiltration membranes (MWCO: 9000, 35,000 and 85,000) were surface modified by preadsorption of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) upon the permeation of aqueous solution of the polymer for about 100 min. In this paper we report on the treatment of industrial fibers and cords by means of plasma polymerization techniques. Coatings of plasma-polymerized pyrrole or acetylene were deposited on aramid fibers, aramid cords and polyester cords. It is shown on numerous examples that IR spectra of organic compounds may be modeled by using the spectra of the structural analogs selected from the database. This paper presents a technique for model construction and the results of modeling along with some examples of model and experimental spectra. The applicability of this approach to modern and traditional methods of spectral analysis is discussed.
