Abstract Ultrathin uracil-complexed CdS nanowires (U-CdS NWs) were synthesized using a facile wet-chemical process and exploited as an effective electron transport layer (ETL) in organic solar cells (OSCs). Abstract Herein, we report the platinum-cobaltx (Pt-Cox) nanoparticles (NPs) as a cocatalyst were synthesized by solvothermal method, and then modified on the surface of cadmium sulfide (CdS) via means of photoinduced deposition.
