Abstract Micro/Nanoscale binary (CoS, NiS, and ZnS) and ternary (CoNi2S4 and Zn0.76Co0.24S) metal sulfides were directly grown on FTO substrates by a novel one step hydrothermal method for low-cost DSSC counter electrode applications. XRD study confirms phase pure formation of CoS, NiS, ZnS, CoNi2S4 and Zn0.76Co0.24S. Abstract In this paper, the ground heat storage effect on the performance of a SCPP implemented in the South of Tunisia, is investigated. First, a 3D CFD ANSYS-Fluent model is used to study the SCPP performance in the region of Tozeur, which represents the best location in the country, in terms of energy production for a SCPP. Abstract Five sensitizers bearing a 4H-pyranylidene moiety have been synthesized. The incorporation of a thiophene ring (with different substituents in its position 5), in the exocyclic double bond of the previously reported SFO-346, leads to twisted structures of type 2D-π-A and D–(π–A)2 that minimize the π-π stacking of the dyes on the photoanode.
