This study evaluates YouTube videos (YTVs) focused on male infertility to assess information quality and identify high-quality content that can reliably facilitate care. Top 50 YTVs based on relevance were identified using the keyword “male infertility.” A checklist, adapted from American Urological Association guidelines addressing male infertility, was developed to assess YTV content. Two investigators extracted YTV features (including duration, likes, views, upload date), classified creators ...

To determine the relationship between popular diets and erectile function we queried the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, a cross-sectional dataset, between 2001 and 2004. All men aged 18–85 who answered the prostate and dietary questionnaires were included. Diets were categorized as Mediterranean, low-fat, low-carbohydrate, or nonrestrictive. Multivariable models were created to determine the relationship between erectile function and each diet. Among 4027 men, 649 (16.1%) met ...

The artificial urinary sphincter, known as AMS 800, has been the gold standard for treating moderate to severe stress urinary incontinence in males for 40 years. Yet, the number of sphincters done globally is quite small and the majority of urologists doing them are infrequent implanters. Estimates for 2019 showed half of implanters did only one implant that year and worldwide only around 13,000 implantations were performed. The traditional two-incision technique of perineal exposure for cuff pl...

Previous studies have shown discrepancies among countries in terms of treatment indications and patients’ management due to different health care policies. Penile prosthesis implantation (PPI) is a highly effective treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED), which may have different accessibility according to the type of health system. We compared clinical characteristics of patients included in two national registries on PPI to investigate the influence of different health care systems on treatmen...

In the previous workshop we described cylinders out of place due to flawed and unrecognized surgical movements piercing tissue planes that months later are subsequently exploited by the cylinders during sexual intercourse. This workshop completes the trilogy of cylinders out of place. The fourth workshop cataloged fixes of cylinders out of place intraoperatively and the fifth workshop showed the current surgical revision operations to address the cylinders once they have migrated. This sixth wor...

Myointimoma is an uncommon, benign soft-tissue tumor derived from the intimal cells of blood vessels. Since little is known about this rare tumor entity, our aim is to describe an additional case and to perform the first literature review on this topic. A 49-year-old Caucasian man presented with a 12-month history of a palpable, firm, solitary lesion involving the glans penis. On physical examination, there was a 1 cm palpable, endophytic well-circumscribed nodule located to the left side of gla...

The penoscrotal (PS), infrapubic (IP), and subcoronal (SC) incisions are used for inserting an inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP). Each surgical approach has its advantages and disadvantages and experts continue to debate which technique has the best outcomes. We performed a critical review of the published English-language studies up to April 2020 investigating the PS, IP, or SC approach for IPP placement. The PS approach is the most frequently used incision. The available data do not suggest a...
