INTRODUCTION Total knee arthroplasty has become one of the most successful and safest surgical procedures in orthopedic surgery. Of the many different types of surgical exposure, the most common, so-called medial parapatellar (MP) incision is the cut of the quadriceps tendon, which impairs extensor function. In contrast, subvastus (S) exposure, which spares the extensor apparatus, may promise better healing. AIM The purpose of our prospective observational study at the Orthopedic Clinic of Semme...

In recent years, several technological innovations have emerged to improve the rehabilitation of traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI). Among them, robotic orthosis, also known as human exoskeletons, are prominent devices for lower limb therapy. Since the early 2000s, numerous clinical studies have begun to investigate the efficacy of these devices, demonstrating the beneficial effects of exoskeletons regarding the prevention and deceleration of the progression of complications following spinal cor...

INTRODUCTION Benign thyroid nodules are frequent findings in imaging studies, most of the time not requiring any intervention. Treatment is usually started when nodules increase in size, the patient becomes symptomatic or clinically relevant hyperthyroidism develops. Thermoablation is an effective alternative modality. In Hungary, our team has pioneered these interventions using radiofrequency ablation for decreasing the size of the nodules. AIM We are presenting our results showing the effectiv...

Surgical guides and three-dimensional (3D) planning softwares used in everyday dental implantology open new possibilities in other fields of dentistry. While using the operation microscope in endodontic microsurgery provides more precise apicectomy, there is still no consent on the exact localisation and size of the bony window to be prepared for this surgery. Our aim is to describe a new, guided endodontic microsurgery method when osteotomy and apicectomy are planned in a 3D software and perfor...
