In this study, involving 585 youth sport coaches (Mage = 35.76), we investigated whether coaches who perceive their environment to be highly evaluative would report acting in a more controlling or pressuring way. In a subsample (N = 211, Mage = 38.14), we examined the explanatory role of coaches’ experiences of psychological need frustration in this relation. We also considered whether years of coaching experience would serve as a buffer against the adverse effects of an evaluative context. In l...

The purpose of this study was to assess the psychosocial work environments (PWE) among a sample of coaches in comparison to the reference values of the Spanish general workforce, as well as to explore the relationship between PWE and mental health, behavioral stress symptoms, and burnout. A representative sample (n=1481) of Spanish coaches (18.1% women, Mage=32.98, SD=11.60) completed a battery of questionnaires. Results showed that, in comparison to the general workforce, coaches showed statist...

The Partial Relaxation approach has recently been proposed for high resolution Direction-of-Arrival estimation. In this paper, we investigate the outlier production mechanism of the Partially Relaxed Deterministic Maximum Likelihood (PR-DML) Direction-of-Arrival estimator using tools from Random Matrix Theory. Instead of applying a single source approximation to multiple-source estimation criteria, which is the case for the MUSIC algorithm, the conventional beamformer, or the Capon beamformer, t...

This paper studies the problem of jointly estimating multiple network processes driven by a common unknown input, thus effectively generalizing the classical blind multi-channel identification problem to graphs. More precisely, we model network processes as graph filters and consider the observation of multiple graph signals corresponding to outputs of different filters defined on a common graph and driven by the same input. Assuming that the underlying graph is known and the input is unknown, o...
