Abstract This study evaluates the changes caused by breeding in the genotype by environment (G × E) interaction of the durum wheat varieties most widely cultivated in Spain after the Green Revolution. A different top-dressing fertilization gradient was applied to four separate study areas across a wheat field in Cordoba, Argentina. Sentine1-2 derived vegetation indexes were computed to assess nitrogen monitoring capacities.
