Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARgamma) is a multifaceted ligand-activated transcription factor that regulates inflammatory responses in asthma pathophysiology. The present study corroborates PPARgamma-mediated anti-asthmatic action of the flavonoid, galangin (norizalpinin).
