Abstract The unexpected effect of hydroxyl radical on tellurium corrosion of the Ni–Mo–Cr–Nb based alloy was first observed in this study. In the corrosion experiments with the quartz tubes as vessels, hydroxyl radicals are released from the quartz at the high temperature (700 °C) and then react with Cr atoms to form Cr2O3 layers at the surface of the alloy, which significantly suppress the simultaneous corrosion process by tellurium vapor. Abstract MOF based CdS-MoS2 composite had strong photoresponse and rich catalytic sites because of the adjustable morphology and large specific surface area. We report a study on the synthesis of TiO2/Fe2O3 (TF) nanocomposites and their photocatalytic performance under visible-light irradiation. The characterization of structure and morphology shows that hematite Fe2O3 was deposited on anatase TiO2 nanoparticles with particle sizes in the range of 20–100 nm.
