Abstract Numerical analyses were conducted to study the explosion characteristics of premixed LPG/DME/Air mixture in an obstructed confined pipeline of length 3 m and diameter 0.1 m under a wide range of initial pressures (100 to 300 kPa) and temperatures (−20 to 200 °C). The purpose of this study is to explore a new type of structure design and injecting material selection of the composite sandwich bulletproof system.
