A cellulose nanocrystal (CNCs) material was converted into its dialdehyde before being decorated with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) through an aminothiophenol linker. Then GOx enzyme was immobilized onto the CNCs-AuNPs using thioctic acid (TA) as a double linker.
